Several cost-benefit-analysis scenarios were proposed by considering how to improve multiple traits simultaneously using MAS and/or GS approaches. In addition to the cost benefit analysis, the genetic gain per unit cost and the genetic gain per unit time also will be analyzed. Software of QU-GENE, QU-LINE, QU-HYBRID, and BMSP will be used for cost-benefit-analysis of this this activity.
The proposed analysis include different scenarios/product profiles like:
1. CBA of MAS for PVA alone
2. CBA of MAS for Zinc alone
3. CBA of MAS for PVA + 1 or 2 disease QTL
4. CBA of GS for a PVA product profile (PVA + Yield + 4-6 other key adaptive traits)
5. CBA of GS for a Zinc product profile (Zinc + Yield + 4-6 other key adaptive traits)
6. CBA of MAS + GS for a PVA product profile
7. CBA of MAS + GS for a Zinc product profile
